Julia Halfyard   Cabaret Performer

Julia Halfyard has delighted audiences in music ranging from popular to classical to musical theatre in settings ranging from cabaret clubs to the symphonic stage. She has worked with a variety of Musical Theatre companies throughout Canada including the Sunshine Festival in Orillia, Ontario, the Charlottetown Festival in PEI, Spirit of Newfoundland, TaDa events, and the Stephenville Festival.

Julia is preparing a Cabaret to take to New York City in 2009! "From Newfoundland to New York - with Julia" will premier in St. John's in October 2008 and will be slated for a Cabaret Club as early as winter 2009. She is also booked to sing and to vocally direct the ever popular "Our Divas Do Broadway" which is booked for Mile One Stadium in December 2008 and Musical Theatre Summer Studio, Julia's theatre school for kids and young adults, just finished an incredible 7 weeks with full classes of highly enthused young performers and incredible teachers and coaches. Plans are already underway for next summer's season!

In August she returned from the Bela Bartok Competition for choirs in Debrecen , Hungary with Lady Cove Women's choir. They took home first prize!
